Inspiration
Keep the ads that work, and steal from them properly later — the oldest habit in advertising. Inspiration (under Creative in the sidebar) gives it a home, with three sources behind one control:
- Competitors — the live Meta and Google ads of the brands you watch.
- Saved — the references your team kept (your swipe file): competitor ads, your own winners, anything you upload.
- Curated — a library Adlyse maintains, so there’s something to learn from on day one.
Any of them can be remixed into an on-brand draft that lands in your Library.
In one line
Watch the brands you compete with, save the ad while you’re impressed by it, and remix it when you need a reference for an angle you’ve never run.
Competitors#
Watch a competitor (or any brand)#
Add a company by its website from the Add company control — up to 10 at a time. Adlyse starts pulling that brand’s live Meta and Google ads in the background; a company shows as pulling until its first batch of ads lands, usually within a few minutes.
What to do: track the brands you compete with, plus any whose ads you admire and want to learn from. Watch a mix — competitors keep you honest, and outside inspiration keeps your own creative fresh.
Shared with Brand Profile
The competitors you watch here are the same ones your Brand Profile tracks — add a company in either place and it shows up in both.
Reading the ad board#
Ads render as a masonry board, one card per creative. Each card tells you:
- Platform — a Meta or Google badge with the platform’s logo, so you know where the ad ran.
- Real placement shape — tiles match the ad’s actual format (square, 4:5, 9:16, and so on) instead of a fixed thumbnail, so you see the ad the way its audience did.
- Video — video ads show a poster frame with a play button; click to watch inline.
- Last seen — how recently the ad was still live (e.g. “3d ago”); hover for the exact date.
What to do: scan for the ads a brand keeps running. A recent “last seen” means the ad is still live — and the ones a competitor sustains week after week are usually the ones working hardest for them.
When a competitor is stealing your impressions#
When Home flags a Google Search impression-share drop — your ads showing less often because you’re being out-ranked, not because your budget ran out — Adlyse AI can pin it on a specific competitor. It lines up your drop against each watched brand’s ad-library activity over the same window and names whoever ramped up.
Impression share is simply the slice of available ad views you actually captured; when it falls on relevance rather than budget, someone is likely outbidding you.
If you aren’t tracking anyone yet, Adlyse AI auto-discovers up to 3 competitors to check. It only names a brand when their activity genuinely lines up with your drop — otherwise it tells you it can’t, rather than guessing.
A note on cost
That auto-discovery draws on your organization’s strategy usage. It isn’t charged to you directly, but it’s real work happening on your behalf.
Saved#
Saved has two views: everything your organization saved, and Favorites — the shortlist. Tap the heart on any curated or saved ad to pin it to Favorites for the whole team. This is what you open in a briefing.
Three routes in:
- From Competitors — save any competitor ad you want to learn from.
- From your Library — save one of your own winners so its treatment stays findable after the campaign ends.
- Add inspiration — upload a file, or paste a URL for an ad you spotted anywhere else.
Save more than feels necessary. A collection of references is only useful at the size where you can’t remember what’s in it.
Curated#
A library Adlyse maintains, so Inspiration is useful on day one rather than after a month of collecting. Browse it when you need a reference for an angle you haven’t run before.
Finding things again#
Saved and curated ads are tagged and filterable by vertical (the industry the ad is for), angle (the promise it’s making), and — in Saved — source, so you can separate competitor ads from your own. The filters only offer values actually present, so you’re never picking from a list of tags nothing matches.
Remixing#
The point of saving an ad isn’t to admire it. Remix any image ad — from Competitors, Saved, or Curated — into a draft that follows your brand — the structure and idea carry over, the branding doesn’t. A competitor ad is saved first, so the reference stays findable. The draft lands in your Library as a generated variant you can edit, approve, and launch.
You can also remix straight from a conversation: ask Adlyse AI to remix a saved ad and the image comes back in the thread.
Availability
Inspiration is part of Creative Management. Without that on your plan, saving, watching, and remixing are locked.
Common flows#
- Size up a new competitor. Add their website, then scan their board for the offers and angles they’re leaning on.
- Answer an angle gap. Insights says a promise is under-served; browse Curated for how others make that promise, then remix.
- Build a briefing shelf. Favorite the eight ads that define the direction, and open Favorites in the kickoff instead of describing it.
- Track a rival’s shift. When a competitor changes message, save the before and the after — the pair is the insight.
- Catch who’s outbidding you. When Home flags a rank-driven drop, let Adlyse AI name the competitor behind it.
