SEO & AI
Open SEO & AI to see how your website is found — in Google, and in the answers people get from AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity — and to work through the fixes that would help. One page covers one website, split into five tabs: Overview, Google search, AI answers, Actions, and Setup.
In one line
Start on Overview to see what moved, work the cards in Actions (biggest risk first), and use Setup to tell Adlyse which sites, competitors, and facts to check.
If you have more than one website, pick the one you want from the Website selector at the top. Everything on the page is scoped to it.
Overview#
Overview is the scoreboard. It compares the last 28 settled days with the 28 before them, and shows:
- Google clicks and organic sessions — from your connected Search Console and Analytics.
- AI referral sessions — visits that arrived from AI assistants, counted separately in Analytics.
- Recommended rate and share of voice — how often AI assistants recommend your brand when asked your buyers’ questions, and how that compares with the competitors you track. Per-engine rates sit underneath.
- Next steps — the most important open cards and any setup gaps, with a link to see all of your actions.
Why the window ends a few days ago
Google data arrives about three days late, so the window ends on the last settled day. AI answers are sampled weekly over the last four weeks. These numbers show what moved alongside your work; they don’t prove that SEO or AI changes caused it.
Google search#
The Google tab is your Search Console data for this website. Pick a date range, see the trend with markers for changes you’ve shipped, and switch between Top pages, Lost clicks, and Search queries. Drill into any page or query to see its own trend.
AI answers#
The AI answers tab shows what AI assistants say when asked your buyers’ questions: the answers themselves, how often you’re recommended, and which pages and sites they cite. Choose Manage questions to write your own questions (one per line), have Adlyse suggest some, import them, or pause the ones you don’t want asked.
Which AI assistants are checked#
Adlyse asks each assistant your buyers’ questions and records the answer. Which assistants it asks depends on your plan:
| Plan | Assistants asked |
|---|---|
| Essentials | ChatGPT and Perplexity |
| Pro and above | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini |
Your plan also sets how many questions you can run and a monthly spend ceiling for these checks. Adlyse pauses any questions over your allowance, pausing generated ones before the ones you wrote.
Actions#
Actions is your to-do list for this website. Every finding is a card, ranked with the biggest risk first. Open a card to see the evidence, then:
- Give it an owner and a due date.
- Make the change — or ask Adlyse to help.
- Mark it done, and Adlyse measures the result.
Use the filters — All, Google, AI, Technical, Paid (when you run ads), and Mine — to narrow the list.
The kinds of card you’ll see include:
- Page and technical fixes from the weekly health check and your Search Console data.
- Source gaps — a site that AI assistants keep citing for your category’s questions, but which doesn’t mention you. A gap needs to repeat across at least two questions before it becomes a card.
- Wrong brand facts — an AI answer that contradicts a fact you’ve recorded about your brand. One card covers the same wrong fact however many answers repeat it. If the answers are actually right, choose These answers are right to close the card.
Below the cards, Signals to check lists lighter evidence worth a look, and Ideas lists leads that aren’t yet worth a card.
Create a brief#
On an open card, choose Create brief (or Redo brief to try again). Adlyse writes a one-page brief for that card — what to change, why, and what evidence supports it — and attaches it to the card as a PDF, so whoever picks up the work has everything in one place. Once a card is closed, its owner, due date, and brief stay visible.
Setup#
Setup tells Adlyse what to check. It covers:
- Websites and connections — the sites you track and the connections behind them (Search Console, Analytics). You can add or remove a website here; adding one kicks off a first health check straight away, rather than waiting for Monday.
- Competitors — one organisation-wide list of the brands to compare against. Mark which ones to include in AI checks.
- Brand facts — the facts about your brand that AI answers should get right. These power the wrong-fact cards.
- Checks — which assistants are asked, how often, and the spend ceiling.
- Advanced — server-log import and evidence export.
What the health check covers
The weekly health check looks at up to 200 of your busiest pages, not a full crawl. Setup also lists what isn’t covered yet: keyword volume, backlinks, competitors’ Google rankings, and Google AI Overviews.
AI search views in Setup need the AI visibility feature on your plan. Competitors and brand facts only shape those AI checks.
Common flows#
- Add your first website. Choose Setup, add the site, and connect Search Console and Analytics. Adlyse runs a first look and starts filling in Overview.
- Weekly review. Open Overview to see what moved, then clear the top cards in Actions.
- Fix a wrong AI answer. Add the correct fact in Brand facts. If an assistant keeps contradicting it, a card appears in Actions with the evidence.
- Hand off the work. Give a card an owner and due date, then create a brief for them.
