Swipe file

A swipe file is the oldest habit in advertising: keep the ads that work, and steal from them properly later. Adlyse gives yours a home — competitor ads you found in Brand watch, your own top performers, or anything you paste in from the web — and then lets you remix any of them into an on-brand draft.

In one line

Save the ad while you’re impressed by it. The value shows up three weeks later, when you need a reference for an angle you’ve never run.

Three shelves#

The page has three tabs, and they answer different questions:

  • Curated — a library Adlyse maintains, so the file is useful on day one rather than after a month of collecting. Browse it when you need a reference for an angle you haven’t run before.
  • My Library — what your organization saved. Everything you add from Brand watch, from your own creatives, or by upload lands here.
  • Favorites — the shortlist. Tap the heart on any curated or saved ad to pin it here for the whole team. This is what you open in a briefing.

Filling it#

Three routes in:

  • From Brand watch — save any competitor ad you want to learn from.
  • From your own creatives — save a winner so its treatment stays findable after the campaign ends.
  • Add to library — upload a file, or paste a URL for an ad you spotted anywhere else.

Save more than feels necessary. A swipe file is only useful at the size where you can’t remember what’s in it.

Finding things again#

Saved ads are tagged and filterable by vertical (the industry the ad is for), angle (the promise it’s making), and — in My Library — source, so you can separate competitor ads from your own. The filters only offer values actually present in your file, so you’re never picking from a list of tags nothing matches.

Remixing#

The point of saving an ad isn’t to admire it. From any saved item you can remix it into a draft that follows your brand profile — the structure and idea carry over, the branding doesn’t. The draft lands in your creatives as a generated variant you can edit, approve, and launch.

You can also remix straight from a conversation: ask Adlyse AI to remix a saved ad and the image comes back in the thread.

Availability

Swipe file is part of Creative Management. Without that on your plan the page is visible but saving and remixing are locked.

Common flows#

  • Answer an angle gap. Creative analytics says a promise is under-served; browse Curated for how others make that promise, then remix.
  • Build a briefing shelf. Favorite the eight ads that define the direction, and open Favorites in the kickoff instead of describing it.
  • Track a rival’s shift. When Brand watch shows a competitor changing message, save the before and the after — the pair is the insight.
