Ad Accounts

Everything Adlyse knows about your advertising starts here. Connect an ad account and Adlyse begins pulling its numbers every day — powering your decision queue, Explorer, and reports, and giving Adlyse the reach to make the changes you approve.

In one line

Click Connect, sign in to your ad platform, and pick the accounts you want. Adlyse takes it from there and starts its first sync.

Connect an account#

Choose Connect and pick your platform#

On the Ad Accounts page, click Connect and select Google, Meta, Microsoft, or TikTok.

Sign in and approve access#

You’ll sign in with the platform itself. Adlyse asks permission to read your metrics and, where the platform allows it, to make changes you approve — pausing, resuming, or adjusting budgets. Adlyse only ever writes when you explicitly ask it to.

Pick which accounts to add#

Adlyse finds every account you have access to and shows you a list. Select any combination, click Add, and they’re grouped together under that connection.

Each platform hands over a slightly different set of accounts:

  • Google Ads — Adlyse finds every account you can reach, including the child accounts under a manager (MCC) account.
  • Meta Ads — sign in with a Facebook account that has Business Manager access, and Adlyse pulls in the ad accounts it finds there.
  • Microsoft Ads — sign in with your Microsoft account, and Adlyse discovers the accounts in your Advertising hierarchy.
  • TikTok Ads — supported for reading your data today.

TikTok is read-only for now

Adlyse can sync and report on your TikTok data, but can’t yet make changes to TikTok campaigns for you. Making changes is on the way.

What Adlyse pulls in each sync#

Every sync run refreshes the full picture of each account:

  • Your structure — campaigns, ad sets (ad groups on Google), and ads, with their current settings.
  • Daily performance for the last 30 days — spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and conversion value, plus the rates Adlyse derives from them: click-through rate, cost per click, cost per conversion, and return on ad spend.
  • Changes — every edit, budget change, creative swap, and status flip, so nothing slips by unnoticed (this is what lets Home tell you whether a decision you approved actually worked).
  • Search terms — the actual search queries people typed before clicking your Google ads.
  • Creatives — your live ads with their media, for Creative intelligence (on the platforms that expose a creative library).

Reading the account list#

Each connected account carries its own scorecard, so this page — not a separate dashboard — is where you compare accounts against one another:

  • ABI score — a 0–100 health grade for the account, with a band (above, at, or below baseline). See the glossary for what goes into it.
  • Spend, impressions, clicks, conversions over the recent window.
  • Waste — the share of spend Adlyse estimates isn’t buying results. The column only appears for platforms that can actually estimate it, so a blank is never ambiguous.

If a score looks wrong, click into Explorer to see the campaigns behind it, or work the proposals on Home.

Check on a sync#

Each account shows where its sync stands: pending (queued for its first run), syncing, success (with the time it finished), or error (with the platform’s message). Syncs run automatically on a schedule, and you can trigger one right away from the account’s ”…” menu.

If an account shows an error, it’s almost always one of three things:

  1. Access was revoked or expired. Click Reconnect to sign in again.
  2. Permissions changed. The account you signed in with needs to still have access on the platform side.
  3. A platform rate limit. These usually clear on their own within the hour.

Remove an account#

Open the ”…” menu on any account and choose Remove to disconnect it. To remove an entire sign-in and every account under it, use Remove connection from the connection’s menu.

Your history is safe

Removing an account keeps all of its past data, snapshots, and decision history. Reconnect later and Adlyse recognizes the same account and picks up syncing right where it left off.

Common flows#

  • Add your first account. Connect, approve, pick accounts, and watch the first proposals appear on Home after the first sync.
  • Fix a stuck account. See an error? Reconnect, then confirm your platform access.
  • Sync on demand. Made a big change on the platform? Trigger an immediate sync instead of waiting for the schedule.
See your accounts come alive

Once a sync finishes, Adlyse checks each account and queues what to fix.

Dig into the numbers

Drill from account health down to campaigns, ads, and search terms.

For developers

Developers can list every connected account with its sync and connection status via list_ad_accounts. The adlyse-ads tools then read and make gated changes scoped to an ad_account_id, returning the same normalized shape no matter which platform the data came from.
